[c/o Dr. Cecil Walker at his home address]

Jeremiah, I need to talk to you.

So we're questing around the world, trying to close the mouths and stop the depredations of the Liar/The Big Bad/The Fisher From Outside and I get offered a deal from this guy who calls himself the King In Yellow. The King In Yellow apparently doesn't like the Liar/Big Bad/etc etc and…wants to help out? Mind you I'm sure he's just as bad as the Liar in his own Ultra-Powerful Doomsday Alien way but he seems to have no imminent plans for invading earth and getting everyone addicted to Mind Drugs so lesser of two evils.

Anyway, so the King In Yellow offered me a deal. And it involves you. It's sort of an, ahem, Sword of Damocles hanging over your head, so I figured I should tell you (okay, Lillian convinced me to tell you, I wasn't going to tell you, I didn't want to tell you, don't expect me to make good decisions all the time now that you're back, but I have good friends. I think.)

Basically -- you get your body back (as it was before it was gross and corpsified -- you don't get a gross and corpsified body). You're a person in a body again. This is more or less the most amazing thing I can think of.

In exchange -- I'm bound to keep working against the Fisher until he/she/it is dead or banished. Gone from earth for good. Poof.

If I quit working against the Fisher before he/she/it's gone, you lose your body.

…Yeah, I know, you're probably now horrified I thought of taking this deal without consulting you. I'm a selfish sonofabitch, Jeremiah. I want you back, in body as well as soul, and I'm willing to take wild deals to get it.

(Let me take this deal. Please. Joyce and Lillian and Vito and the others will help me work against the Liar, they promised they would, we can banish the Liar, and I need you, Jeremiah, I need you, or I can't fight against anything at all.)

(Let me take this deal. Please.)
