Background
Old Terra - the self-proclaimed wellspring of humanity. It's certain that people have been around the main planet for quite a long time. The scars of several wars, particularly antimatter weapons which are much more advanced than Old Terra's current society would indicate, make the claim hard to conclusively verify.
Following a coup against Imperial rule, Old Terra has had a series of at least three different worldwide governments and at least a dozen regional governments, all claiming rule with legitimate succession. A typical Old Terran perspective on any political topic is a peculiarly toxic mix of arrogance, aggressiveness, and inferiority. The out-system exploitation of its significant supply of rare radioactives is a constant grievance with its neighbors and its comparative level of technology fuel movements for revolutionary change.
