Kerberos Session Victor's Father

Victor POV:

I eavesdropped on Butler's and Cassian's conversation. Cassian seems to be 35 and stuck in a child's body. Tamar, organization of evil doctors, may be able to help although it seemed hopeless. But he gave notes to Butler from the Hermit (we should know who that is if Huntley knows). Butler twigged to the fact that I'd followed Cassian and invited me in. I took a peek at the notes, which detailed how to perform a brain transplant to get Cassian out of his childish body (although I don't have enough medical knowledge to realize it at the time). Butler then received a messenger bird and went out. I followed him to Huntley's place, where Huntley revealed that he was trying to supplant the cardmaster and had a plan to do it. The plan mostly revolved around me, the Marquis of Carmarthen's firstborn son (!). He made a bet with Butler that he would succeed in trapping me: all he owned versus making Butler his sex slave. Butler agreed. Huntley revealed that the first step of the plan was luring Angelina Durless to Mace's party that night in order to kidnap her. He assumed we were lovers (!!).

We followed Butler to the Duke of Leeds' place, but had to give up on pursuit to make it to Lord Mace's party on time. We intercepted Angelina outside the party, but Alice seemed intent on getting Angelina her adventure. I managed to extract a promise from Alice to protect Angelina from physical and mental harm, and in we went. The marquis of course tried to mesmerize her and took her away. We (minus Alice) followed. When he brought her home, Huntley got her to write a note to me asking me to come. We planned, but decided we had nothing better to do than have me show up, so I did. The marquis promptly mesmerized me, wanting me to kill the Lip. He seems to have made certain assumptions about my attachments that aren't really accurate... though Angelina did look stunning that night and you know, when mulling over a problem I do find myself thinking that it would be nice if Angelina was there to talk about it with. Gregory pounced on the marquis before he brought me to the Lip and Alice de-mesmerized me. I will look into making sure that sort of thing can't happen again... I know more than a few people who might be able to help me protect my mind from unwanted incursions.

Anyways, Butler was there too and revealed Huntley was the perfect body donor for Cassian. We decided to put into motion the plan to have Gregory replace Huntley and Alice managed to copy much of Huntley's knowledge into Gregory's brain. Now we have to decided what to do with Huntley. Also, it seems my mother is the Marquis of Carmarthen's half sister (also born on the wrong side of the sheets). So my biological father is also my uncle... I need to talk to my mother.
