Story Games Bite Sized Quotes

In Kerberos Fate, folks started in a place of relative safety in the Congo, and tried to figure out which NPCs to bring along into danger. Lady Alice maintained that the chaperone for herself and the (NPC) Lady Angelina obviously had to come along.

Reginald: But you're wrong.

Alice: Honor demands it.

Reginald: Yes, and that's why you're wrong.

Alice: _Her_ honor demands it.

Our heroes quickly found danger, of course, a mass battle, at night, in the middle of a thunderstorm, with rain and dirt pouring down on everyone's heads. Knowing that there was likely to be a floating island, Nunzio, who place the brilliant-but-tactless detective Victor, picked up on the dirt detail and asked if, oh, he could see a floating island nearby.

GM: It is _possible_ you _don't_ have a floating island nearby.

Sophronia tried to get the floating island to stick around so they could board it and deal with the villains on it by using her faerie powers to make the words "Sacrifice Faulty, Don't Go Away" appear in the sky. Alas, the folks on the island paid this no heed.

And the session ended with three out of four PCs in deadly peril, with the fourth having dealt with his foe and then realized that he was no longer telepathically linked to his friends. But, in between that, there was a lot of philosophy and discussion of souls, whether faeries had them, whether there were multiple kinds of souls, and other similar conundrums. On whether or not to take the chaperone along:

Reginald: But you're wrong.

Alice: Honor demands it.

Reginald: Yes, and that's why you're wrong.

Alice: Her honor demands it.
