While Phadrea was doing a series of performances on one of the Galliard stations circling [[Old Terra]], another job came by: Guide to an archaeological dig on the surface for some [[Green Sun]] academics. It was near one of the old von Schultz castles, which you claimed to be quite familiar with. They found something quite expensive quite quickly, too - must be what having a good guide gets them. But one of the talking ravens got into an argument with the talking owl, and you openly promised [[Shine Arcadian]], the raven, to report the find to "the proper authorities." And you were happy to do it. And quite happy to quietly take [[Akea Magnum]]'s (the owl's) money to eventually get the book to its particular off-world interests, too.

Growing Up

Childhood was great, of course. Who wouldn't want to be in the von Schultz dynasty on Old Terra? There were parties, there was wealth thrown about: It was as decadent a life as one could hope for. Alas, the revolution: the first of many.

  • Old royal cynic
  • Scattered family

Starting Out

Going into hiding from the popular revolt wasn't that hard. All you had to do was be bold, and lie. Do it often enough, and it becomes a living.

  • Brazen it out
  • If anyone's running a con around here, it's going to be me

Moment of Crisis

Cons and the Imperial family name had gotten Linus quite far: he even made it to space on more than one occasion. But the big score against these "dumb" pirates didn't work as planned. And it looked like Linus was about to be spaced without a suit; for sure, this time: No ifs, ands, or buts. They had him cold and dead to rights, in the most embarrassing way possible. But a man named Aggie came along and explained everything away for a price: I would now be obligated to look after Phadrea Brandishgun, who was apparently his niece! Phadrea was a famous artist, and a Galliard Coriad, to boot. Aggie was up to something big... and if Linus failed him, he knew he would offend a much more dangerous man than himself, who both the Hammerhead pirates and the Galliard Coriads heeded.

  • I promised Aggie I'd look after his niece Phaedra
  • Pirates are not stupid

Sidetracked

While Phadrea was doing a series of performances on one of the better Galliard stations circling Old Terra, another job came by: Guide to an archaeological dig on the surface for some Green Sun academics. It was near one of the old von Schultz castles, which you claimed to be quite familiar with. They found something quite expensive quite quickly, too - must be what having a good guide gets them. But one of the talking ravens got into an argument with the talking owl, and you openly promised Shine Arcadian, the raven, to report the find to "the proper authorities." And you were happy to do it. And quite happy to quietly take Akea Magnum's (the owl's) money to eventually get the book to its particular off-world interests, too.
