Colossus is a Russian farmer with an artists' temperament. He routinely suffers under confidence that he’s letting the team down, doesn’t fit into American society, isn’t right for Kitty, lost his true love on Beyonder's world, etc. He’s a passable artist and poet who, as you may imagine, doesn’t like his own work. His younger sister, Illyana, was kidnapped by the demon sorcerer Belasco and trapped in Limbo for 7 years her time, returning as a 15 year old. He’s pretty angsty about that too.
