Priority

On the Map Sheet

1. Either draw an arrow from your square to an existing circle or diamond, or draw a new circle or diamond and draw an arrow to it from your square.
2. Draw an arrow from any circle or diamond to any other circle, diamond, or square.
3. Any single circle that has arrows going to it from two different squares becomes a double circle. That means it's been upgraded from an Extra to a Feature. The players who have that Extra listed on their sheets under Resources move it to Relationships, and it goes from having two dice to one die.

On Your Character Sheet

Pick one of: Friends & Family, Work, Moving Forward, Looking Back, Performance.

Friends & Family

1. Story: Who are the friends and family that you rely on the most? Have any ostracized you? Who are you closest to?
2. Step up Duty or Love.
3. Add new Distinction (recommended: Connected, Family Reputation, or Wealthy), or step up a Distinction or Heritage.
4. Step up an Extra.
5. Go on to the Modus Operandi stage. Pick one of: Special Gifts, Reliability/Loyalty, or Shady Business.

Work

1. Story: What work do you do? Is it the same as you were doing before? is there anything that can tempt you away from it?
2. Step up Power or Truth.
3. Add new Distinction (recommended: Backhanded, Manipulative, or Vicious), or step up a Distinction or Heritage.
4. Step up a Location.
5. Go on to the Modus Operandi stage. Pick one of: Against the Grain, Reliability/Loyalty, or Shady Business.

Moving Forward

1. Story: Have you started lying about your past? Are you keeping secrets from those close to you? Is there anything or anyone you can turn to for solace and understanding?
2. Step up Glory or Justice.
3. Add new Distinction (recommended: Connected, Daring, or Willful), or step up a Distinction or Heritage.
4. Step up an Extra.
5. Go on to the Modus Operandi stage. Pick one of: Against the Grain, Outside Normal Channels, or Shady Business.
