On the Map Sheet

  1. Draw an arrow back to a Lead square.

On Your Character Sheet

Pick one of: Others, Self, The Cause, The Job, The World.

Others

  1. Think about:
    • Do you donate time to a charity? Which one and what do you do?
    • Is it difficult for you to ask for help when you need it? Can you give an example of a time when you had to do so?
    • Was there ever a time when someone needed you and you failed? What happened and how has it affected you?
  2. Step up Justice or Love.
  3. Step up a Relationship (with another Lead or a Feature), an Asset (a Ability, Distinction, or Heritage), or a Resource (an Extra or a Location).
  4. Go on to the Identity stage. Pick one of: The Hero, The Sidekick, or The Foil.

Self

  1. Think about:
    • Is there no one whose welfare means something to you?
    • What the most selfish thing you’ve done?
    • Why do you think you are so selfish?
  2. Step up Power or Glory.
  3. Step up a Relationship (with another Lead or a Feature), an Asset (a Ability, Distinction, or Heritage), or a Resource (an Extra or a Location).
  4. Go on to the Identity stage. Pick one of: The Rebel, The Sidekick, or The Foil.

The Cause

  1. Think about:
    • What’s your cause? Is it social? Political? Religious?
    • Are you part of an organization or a one-person crusade?
    • How long have you been a part of this and what changes have you already affected?
  2. Step up Justice or Duty.
  3. Step up a Relationship (with another Lead or a Feature), an Asset (a Ability, Distinction, or Heritage), or a Resource (an Extra or a Location).
  4. Go on to the Identity stage. Pick one of: The Rebel, The Specialist, or The Foil.

The Job

  1. Think about:
    • Who gives you orders?
    • Have you ever questioned those orders?
    • Who works with you?
  2. Step up Glory or Truth.
  3. Step up a Relationship (with another Lead or a Feature), an Asset (a Ability, Distinction, or Heritage), or a Resource (an Extra or a Location).
  4. Go on to the Identity stage. Pick one of: The Rebel, The Specialist, or The Hero.

The World

  1. Think about:
    • What resources are at your disposal for this?
    • Who are your greatest adversaries?
    • Who do you turn to for help?
  2. Step up Duty or Power.
  3. Step up a Relationship (with another Lead or a Feature), an Asset (a Ability, Distinction, or Heritage), or a Resource (an Extra or a Location).
  4. Go on to the Identity stage. Pick one of: The Sidekick, The Specialist, or The Hero.
