If I have my dates correct:

• Midsummer's Day, 1927: Cornelieu Zelea Codreanu founds the Legion of the Archangel Michael, which believes in death as a path for spiritual rebirth, specifically the spiritual rebirth of Romania. This movement is what becomes the Iron Guard. It's also called Echipa Moritii, translated as "death squads" or, more accurately, as "squads of the dead". A cell, I think also called a cuib ("nest") is supposed to have a maximum of 13 members, and standards should be so high that 19 of 20 applicants should be rejected.

• 1930: My notes say that the Iron Guard is said to have licked up the blood of the fallen.

• 1933: 18,000 or so of the Iron Guard imprisoned.

• 1937: Codreanu gets 66 seats in Parliament, making his party the second strongest in Romania.

• 1938: Summer: Some really freaky weather worldwide -- green skies, lightning, weird sh*t reported.

• 1938: 30 November: Codreanu, having been arrested, and the king, being told by Hitler that the only real tyrant of Romania is Codreanu, feeling threatened, Codreanu plus 13 of the Iron Guard are "shot in flight" as they are being transfered to Fort Jilava.

• 1940: Paris falls.
  • Reactivation of Edom approved (to the degree it was ever deactivated).
  • German Military Mission enters Romania (October)

• • Joyce pilots herself, Quimby, and Hedy into Romania, where they are met by Isabella and Dex.
  • Iron Guard party at Dex's castle, Iulia Hasdeu Castle.
  • 10 November, 3:30 am: Earthquake lasting for about two and a half minutes. Contact with Dracula established.
