New Distinctions
From a thread on RPG.net:
Professional Distinctions
Cop
You are proud to be counted amongst the number of the local law enforcement that keeps the city safe. Roll the Distinction's die when working to enforce the law or when it would influence another's attitude towards you.

- d8: Spend a Plot Point to Gain a 2d8 Resource to help with your enquiries.
- d12: Spend a Plot Point to Reroll a die in a Cop roll.
Lawyer (Legal Crusader)
You are a member of the legal profession, whether a public defender, ADA, or senior partner, and have a strong belief in the Law and believe adhering to the system is the best course of action. You may not always agree with the system as it currently stands, but in such cases, you aim to reform the system for the better using the correct and, most importantly, legal channels. Roll the Distinction's die when practicing law in an honest and legal manner.
- d4: Earn a Plot Point when you Choose not to follow an advantageous course of action due to it being legally dubious or procedurally incorrect.
- d8: Spend a Plot Point to Reveal an obscure detail of the law that supports your case.
- d12: Spend a Plot Point to Reroll any roll made within the context of a courtroom setting, providing that you have not wandered into any moral "grey areas".
Lawyer (Morally Dubious)
You are a member of the legal profession, whether a public defender, ADA, or senior partner, but have either a distrust of the system or see it as an impediment to your progress. You quite happily tread in murkier waters and will bend the rules to further your cause. Roll the Distinction's die when practicing law.
- d4: Earn a Plot Point and Give your opposition a d6 when you play fast and loose with the law.
- d8: Spend a Plot Point to Increase your AFRAID, ANGRY, or INSECURE pool against someone in the witness box at a trial.
- d12: Spend a Plot Point and Add a d10 to Trouble to Reroll any roll made within the context of a courtroom setting where you are, strictly speaking, not being honest.
Psychiatrist

- d8: Add a d6 to Trouble to Increase your AFRAID or INSECURE Stress pool.
- d12: Spend a Plot Point to Recover your own AFRAID or INSECURE Stress.
Other Distinctions
Bastard (Beast-Man) Heritage
You are an unnatural creature of many parts, put together in some alchemist's workshop. There is much human in you, more than a little feline, but also many less recognizable things. As most consider you frightening or an abomination, you have learned to stick to the shadows, to frighten and to fight. You are a quiet presence, always closer than friend or enemy might like.
- Connected Abilities: Adaptation, Animal Control, Claws, Luck, Regeneration, Super-Senses
- Limit: Fire
- d4: Earn a Plot Point when you Choose to act on your bestial nature.
- d8: Add a d6 to Trouble to join any scene which includes a Feature or Lead with which you have a Relationship.
- d12: Add a d10 to Trouble to use a Special Effect from a connected Ability you don't have, by reaching into your patchwork essence.
