* Archangel - currently interstellar, looking for data on the alien threat. Keeps the United Nations updated on what she finds. Considered one of the big three heroes of Earth.
* The Red Star - the Soviet superhero. The Soviet Union, despite significant international economic and military aid, still bears scars as the main front against the alien invasion of the '80s. Red Star, along with the Soviet government in exile, has since moved their base to western China to manage terraforming and governance of the SovietUnion from a less chaotic base. Considered one of the big three heroes of Earth.
* Doctor Joy - Dr. Jocylin Mathers, despite only being in her late 20s, is a well-known local super-psychologist with mind-reading and empathic abilities; she can only perceive the thoughts and feelings of others through focus, skill, and training. She cannot transmit. She makes a point of checking in with regular folks in the aftermath of super-villain attacks.
* Wastrel - a local villain, know for temporarily aging club-goers for what's assumed to be some sort of psychic vampire thing. Very little known about this person.
* Gravestone - a nationally-feared villain, imprisoned more than once, known for "transmuting a mass of intelligent life" (i.e. killing young people) for fairly obscure, but presumably disgusting, personal power. Rumored to have been around since at least the '40s, if by another name.
